Horizon Architectural Glazing

What is architectural glazing?

The term ‘architectural glazing’ is broad in it's use but is generally applied to commercial and office buildings with their sheer walls of glass. However, this type of glazing is transferable - and as beautiful - in a renovation, home extension or new build were it may be talked about as fenestration. This project in East Cornwall, 2019 with large areas of glass creating a light and bright, vibrant living area demonstrates fenestration in residential architecture.

When you’re in the process of designing or redesigning your residential, office or commercial building - the positioning of the property’s glazing is a key factor in how the building will look and feel. Slender and strong, aluminium frames are capable of supporting significantly larger glass panes than uPVC and timber alternatives; resulting in improved U-values and thermal efficiency too.

Mixing technical glass solutions such as heated glass, privacy glass, and specialised glass coatings allow these minimally framed glazing systems to be as functional as possible.

We are the perfect partner for projects involving architectural glass. Based from our Head Quarters in Launceston, Cornwall - we work with Architects, Builders, Project Managers and Homeowners across the South West and beyond who are keen to offer their clients stunning glass led finishes which create a real wow factor to any home, office or commercial building.
